Watershed Regional Risk & Resilience Work Group

  • Is undertaking activities to advance risk-based all-hazards holistic multi-stakeholder planning and implementation of actions to improve all-hazards resilience of the Nation’s watershed regions.  A key task is holding a webinar to introduce potential users to the Watershed Regional Risk and Resilience Playbook and identifying additional best practices and solutions to resilience challenges.

Regional Wildfire Resilience Work Group

  • Is adapting the holistic approach in the Watershed R3 Playbook to develop a Comprehensive Regional Wildfire Resilience Guide to assist localities with their state agency partners and supporting critical infrastructures in improving planning and implementation for largescale wildfire events.

  • Is focusing on identifying health resilience needs, solution options, tools, resources, and best practices for broad stakeholder use in planning and improving health resilience capacities.

  • Is developing guidance to enable localities with their cross-sector stakeholders to use available data and capabilities to understand high-level regional interdependencies and determine/help justify associated mitigation and other risk reduction actions.

  • Is examining opportunities and ways to leverage AI applications to assist in multi-stakeholder planning and implementation of actions to improve holistic regional resilience.  A key objective is to continue to develop, evaluate, and update guidance on how to create and use an AI R3 Assistant to help users operationalize the Watershed Regional Risk and Resilience Playbook.
